Hundreds of Babies Released on Northgate in Club Crawl Confusion
Hundreds of babies were found crawling around the Northgate District on Sunday afternoon in an advertising miscommunication of the inaugural “Club Crawl.” Evidently, parents and bar owners alike were led to believe that the event was a community meet up of infants, their parents, and good times at the ‘gate.
Club Crawl, it turns out, was simply a rebranding of the more aptly named “MSC Open House.”
“Someone said something about an org fair, but I’d been waiting so long to finally kick back and have a drink with my son,” said a befuddled father who took his 9-month-old to Shiner Park.“I just ordered a beer and let him crawl around the dance floor with all the other babies.”
Other bar owners fully leaned into the confusion, resulting in a great time for all attendees.
“When I saw an advertisement for a Club Crawl on Sunday afternoon, I knew I couldn’t let the opportunity pass by,” local bar owner Harry Hurricane said “I didn’t realize that the advertisement had nothing to do with crawling babies or clubs on Northgate.”
Babies and their parents were seen across Northgate sharing laughs, drinks, and games of dominoes. Bar owners were still cleaning up the vomit Monday morning, but have already started planning for next year’s Club Crawl.
