High-Impact Org Expert Confirms: 87% of Campus Leadership Positions Held by Same 40 People

In a groundbreaking study released this week, researchers have finally confirmed what many suspected: 87% of all leadership positions on campus are held by the same 40 people.

The findings reveal an intricate web of overlapping titles and group chats, creating what researchers have deemed a “closed-loop system of leadership.”

“These students aren’t just involved,” said James Talaron, the lead researcher. “They have achieved a level of ubiquity across organizations once characterized as impossible.”

The study shows that members of this “Elite 40” often hold simultaneous roles in Maroon Coats, MSC Abbott, GLC, SGA, Titans of Investing and Business Fellows, claiming roles as “ambassadors,” “liaisons” or “external vice chairs of internal development.”

The research notes that organizational overlap has reached critical levels, with certain students attending two meetings at once through “spiritual presence and a shared Google Doc.”

The study concludes that if even one of the 40 students ever takes a semester off, half of campus programming will collapse.
