Rupaul’s Drag Race to Partner With Texas A&M University
With Season 18 of Rupaul’s Drag Race coming to a close this evening, in order to garner more publicity and secure investments, Rupaul launched a university partnership program.
“College students are by far one of the most impressionable groups, making them the perfect demographic for increased viewership and fandom involvement,” said the program’s website.
Texas A&M University is Rupaul’s first target in his publicity campaign. After describing Reveille X as “camp” and “giving total diva,” Rupaul announced his intention to give Reveille her own place in the Drag Race universe as Rev-paul, her new, and much more vogue, persona.
“I came to Texas A&M with one goal in mind: to boots the house down at this university,” said Rupaul. “Rev-paul is adorable, not to mention the embodiment of charisma, nerve, uniqueness and talent. This is a diva in the making.”
In recent days, Rupaul and Rev-paul have been seen across campus sissying that walk, treating Old Main Drive as their own personal runway. As a part of her integration into the world of drag, Rev-paul has been given a complete makeover, complete with fur highlights dyed hot-pink and nail polish to match. She is also sporting a positively snatching new sash that includes a bedazzled picture of Rupaul and the season’s finalists.
“Not only is she fabulous, she is the moment,” said Rupaul. “Texas A&M students and Rev-paul fans alike, make sure to tune in tonight. Your queen may be making a special appearance.”
