University Police Reportedly Rehearsing Ejections Ahead of Next Home Game

After a long stretch of away games and bye weeks, officers at the Texas A&M University Police Department (UPD) are suffering from what they are calling “game-day tweet withdrawal.”

For weeks, Kyle Field has sat quiet: no roar of the crowd, no drunk students tripping over bleachers and no flasks confiscated in the name of public order. For the men and women behind @TAMUPolice, the silence cuts deep.

“We’re ready to eject again,” said one officer while reminiscing over his viral tweets, staring distantly into the horizon. “You spend enough weekends without writing ‘Public Intoxication. Section 234. Released to a sober friend. Ejected,’ and you start to lose yourself.”

But with no home games for nearly a month, the department’s signature rhythm was disrupted. To stay sharp, officers reportedly organized “Ejection Drills” at Kyle Field.

“We’ve been simulating live scenarios,” said a sergeant adjusting his reflective vest. “One officer pretends to sneak in a Twisted Tea. Another plays ‘the friend who swears he’s sober enough to take him home.’ We run it until it feels real.”

To prepare for their big return, UPD held what insiders are calling a “closed-door media day.” Officers answered mock questions as if prepping for kickoff.

“We’re taking it one section at a time,” said Captain Nathan Morris. “Section 129’s been rowdy in the past, but we’ve reviewed the footage. We’re confident.”

“We’re not here to arrest, we’re here to execute,” said Lieutenant Taylor Daniels. “Ejections are a team effort. Everyone plays their role.”

Morale finally spiked this week when the department’s account tweeted: “Home game approaching. Section numbers memorized. Vests pressed. We’re so back. #BTHOWhoever.”

As Saturday approaches, Aggies are collectively bracing for the return of the most unintentionally entertaining live thread.
