Veo Bike Gang Aims to Eradicate Pedestrian Complacency
In a bold move that has already struck fear into the hearts of pedestrians, a group of highly annoyed students at Texas A&M University have announced the formation of the University’s first Veo biker gang.
This group, officially titled as the Veo Crosswalk Enforcers, plans to patrol campus at speeds downwards of 15 mph, on a mission to control the “unchecked anarchy of pedestrian traffic.”
“Campus pedestrians have gotten out of hand,” said gang founder Josh Stand. “They have no respect for scooter-ers, bikers, buses, anyone! Their heads are constantly buried in their phones, with no regard for surroundings. Crosswalks are not just a suggestion. Enough is enough.”
The group’s first tactic is to spread out across campus roads, creating barricades that funnel students back onto the sidewalks.
“The problem is complacency,” said Stand.“If a student doesn’t have enough awareness to notice a Veo bearing down on them, we will have to remind them that physics still applies when you are looking at your phone.”
“For those passionate about pedestrian complacency, you can follow us on Instagram @stopbadwalkers,” said Stand, “because if pedestrians won’t look up, we’ll make sure they see us coming.”
