Traditions Council to Begin Rolling Applications for Muster Rejects

In response to the recent round of Muster host rejection decisions, Traditions Council has begun accepting members year-round as a way to cater their application process to their predominant demographic: students rejected by the Muster committee.

“This is not a decision we took lightly as a council, and we look forward to continuing to accept only the second-best students into our organization,” Traditions Council member and sophomore history major, Kaitlyn Smith, said.

Colton Wilson, a Muster reject, was purportedly sitting dejectedly outside of the shared Big Event and Muster cube within the Koldus building shortly after receiving his rejection email.

When asked about the opportunity to join Traditions Council, Wilson said “I mean… I guess I’m interested? Traditions Council meets at the same time as the Muster Committee, so it’s basically the same org, right?”

While admission to Traditions Council is in theory not a guarantee, Wilson didn’t appear to be very concerned about that possibility.

“Now that I’ve been rejected by Muster, the whole application process is just a formality,” Wilson said. “And anyways, on the off chance that I’m not accepted, there’s always The Big Event.”
