Fish Camp to Change Location to Abandoned Gumby’s on Dominik
After much speculation regarding Fish Camp’s new location, the Division of Student Affairs announced the abandoned Gumby’s on Dominik Drive will soon host Texas A&M University’s signature freshman orientation camp.
“Its proximity to campus was a major factor in our decision,” Director of Risk Management Trent Gilliam said. “Also, Gumby’s on Tuesday is a staple in Fish Camp culture, so this was a perfect the right fit for the future of the organization.”
Located right off Texas Avenue, the empty building has always sparked curiosity in students and residents. Despite looking like a place to buy drugs, the venue is lauded by many within Fish Camp for its strategic location. Its placement next to Big Daddy’s Tattoo Studios and Sally Beauty also allows counselors easier access to any piercing or hair dye needs before and during camp activities.
Looking to leverage the unique aspects of the venue, Fish Camp announced that the Yell-Off will occur in the front parking lot and that campers will ride the Aggie Spirit bus to and from their lodging on campus. However, no confirmation has been given on the inclusion of half-price pizza rolls in camp meals.
— Sharts and Rec
One day, Sharts and Rec was getting ready to go and get his pump on in the Student Rec Center. As any self-respecting, muscle-bound man would, he slammed a 64 ounce protein shake in the parking lot before he went to hit legs. At minute 37 of his workout, tragedy struck. Sharts and Rec was maxing out his squat when he felt a rumble deep in his large intestine. The protein shake was back with a vengeance. Choosing to trust his colonic muscle control, Sharts and Rec descended. In what could only be described as a peal of thunder, Sharts and Rec pooped his Gym Shark shorts, etching himself into the annals of the Rec weight room history.
