SGA Confirms The Mugdown Is Real News
Last week, the Texas A&M Student Government Association ruled The Mugdown is an official media outlet. This decision was made based on statements taken from The Mugdown’s website and MaroonLink account, and it validated The Mugdown’s claim of being “Texas A&M’s first satirical newspaper, since 1875.”
In lieu of this recent ruling, Mugdown staff have committed themselves to continue providing the most relevant campus news. Being a recognized media outlet, this ruling confirms the legitimacy of all previous Mugdown articles and actions.
Our coverage of noteworthy campus news will continue with the utmost journalistic integrity. We pride ourselves on the sincere coverage we are able to provide. This recognition of our authenticity only strengthens our drive to be Texas A&M’s premier media outlet.
Our content is real, and anyone who disagrees can talk to the Student Government Association.
— Longboard of Regents
You know that douchebag that rides his longboard in the “No Bike Zone” between the Memorial Student Center and Rudder? Yeah, that’s our Longboard of Regents. When he actually shows up to meetings, you can count on him to sit in the back and Juul with his head drooping to the side as he tries not to fall asleep.
